You know what I find myself thinking all the time as a woman? We are really lucky to have so many wardrobe choices! What is in a guys closet? Shirts, pants, shorts, tennis shoes. That’s about it. They don’t get to wear dresses, skirts, capris, or pumps. They don’t accessorize with bangles or purses or earrings. They may have a nice watch and a tie but the average guy stops right there. As women we have so much more freedom to express ourselves with our fashion choices!
While I love this freedom and having so many options, I find myself really digging the androgynous looks lately. These minimalistic, structured looks are clean, strong and confident.
Take this outfit for example. A nice pleated pair of capris, a draped sweater blouse, and simple black pumps. She looks professional without showing off her curves. There’s something so impressive about a woman looks great without highlighting her womanly figure. I think that’s what I find so empowering about the androgynous fashion movement.
